A space routine: gather sofa throws into one basket so rest is visible—and evening mode in daily life becomes obvious each time you sit.

This is a daily space routine for the living room. Put throws in one basket beside the sofa so “rest at home” is visible and evening wellness has a physical cue.
Blankets are signals, not only comfort. Draped messily or on the floor, the room looks unfinished. Rolled neatly in a basket, sitting down comes with permission to rest. You change atmosphere without buying new furniture.
Choose a low basket no taller than the sofa arm, easy to carry. No lid needed—access keeps the routine alive. Quieter neutral tones work best. Rattan, fabric, or plastic are fine; a washable liner helps seasonal swaps.
0–2 min: collect every throw, lap blanket, and shawl from sofa, chairs, and floor. 2–4: shake dust; air out odors. 4–6: roll to similar size and store upright (stacks hide the bottom layer). 6–8: place the basket within one arm’s reach and tell the household: blankets live only here.
After use, roll and return—perfect folds optional. Guest spares stay in the same basket so no exception zone appears. Once a week, empty the whole basket for laundry. This space routine is a location rule, not a cleaning festival.
Do not add a second basket. Splitting “clean / less clean” recreates decisions—and floor piles. Keep bed blankets out of the sofa basket so rooms keep distinct roles.
Dimming lights helps; unfolding a throw marks the end of the day more clearly. Try blanket before TV. When the body rests first, scrolling starts later. Small spatial design supports both daily routine and wellness.
If throws reappear outside the basket after two weeks, the basket is off the path of motion. Move it 10 cm closer to where your hand lands when you sit. Space routines succeed on distance, not willpower.
