WEEK PLAN
Weekly Reset
15 minutes on Wednesday covers a review routine to reset the middle of the week. After the reactive mode of Monday and Tuesday, I plan the remaining half of the week intentionally.

This is a daily routine for shaping your week. Use “Wednesday 15 Minutes: Realigning the Middle of the Week” to realign the rhythm of everyday life.
Wednesday afternoon, it feels like 'already Wednesday' and 'not yet Wednesday' at the same time. The plans you made on Monday are half shaky, the Friday deadline is approaching and you have half the energy.
Right after lunch, 3 p.m., an hour before work - repeating this at the same time throughout the week creates a sense of 'mid-week'. Wednesday's 15-Minute Midweek Reset is not a weekly retrospective. It is a short inspection that only re-determines ‘what to keep in the remaining half of the week’. Whether you stuck to 90 minutes of deep work on Tuesday or how it differed from your Monday plan—just make a list, no judgment.
I take out the ‘priorities for this week’ that I wrote down on Monday and Sunday night. What's been done, what's been postponed, what's new—just 3 minutes to go. No judgment. Just write down ‘things that are different from the plan’ as a list. It's not a list of failures, it's a reality check. Resetting begins with acknowledging that there are only a few days left until Friday.
On Thursday, Friday, and (Saturday), select again the three ‘things you really want to keep’. You can keep Monday's list as is, or change it up. On Wednesdays when you're low on energy, you can reduce 'three things' to 'one thing'. Even if you just leave ‘End this week’, it is a success.
If I'm writing down one weekly keyword, on Wednesday I just take 10 seconds to check if that word is still correct. If it's a 'finishing' week and you're low on energy, you can narrow the remaining half week down to 'finishing'.
On the first of the three, put a 90-minute ‘focus’ block on your calendar, either Thursday or Friday. If there is no free time, just take 30 seconds to consider whether one meeting can be postponed to ‘next week’. If there are no blocks on the calendar, the other half of the week flows into reactive mode. If you add a block and set the Slack status text to the same time, you can reduce unexpected meeting invitations from colleagues.
When the 15-minute timer rings, close your notebook. It is not a complete re-plan, but only the ‘direction of the remaining half of the state’ needs to be determined. Even if you skip a week to reset Wednesday, you just have to do it again the following Wednesday.
The week doesn't just start on Monday. 15 minutes on Wednesday, if you reset it in the middle, Friday evening will be a little lighter. Connecting with your three Thursday morning priorities will make the second half of the week stronger. If you first make plans for Sunday night, Wednesday is the day to refine those plans into reality. If you do it in the same spot right after lunch, the transition to afternoon work becomes natural.
