WALK
Look Up
A commute ritual: learn a landmark two stops before yours so arrival isn’t only an alert—and your phone can stay down.

This is a daily routine for time in motion and pause. Use “Find your stop by scenery, not the app” to bring a little wellness into the gaps of your day.
Arrival alerts are handy, but they often stretch into long scrolls. Looking up too late means missing the stop. Alerts should be a safety net, not the owner of your eyes.
On a familiar line, pick one landmark two or three stops before yours—a bridge, a sign, a river, a tall building. The goal is to wake the body with scenery.
Prefer something readable in rain or at night. Big silhouettes beat tiny signs. If inbound and outbound differ, set one landmark each way.
This week, watch for it on the way in. Keep the alert on at first—“eyes first, alert as backup.”
Pocket one earbud or close your bag zipper. Small prep motions teach the next stop into the body.
Keep the phone away and count the sequence: landmark → one stop → your stop. Three steps are hard to miss.
Missing one stop is fine. Move the landmark earlier or add a secondary cue. Habits adjust; they don’t punish.
You don’t need this on every unfamiliar line. On your regular commute alone, phone dependence drops fast.
Keep the alert as backup; make scenery the first signal. Today, choose one landmark before your stop.
