Writing just three things for the week on a whiteboard gives you direction rather than a to-do list.

This is a daily space routine that lightens everyday life. Use “Whiteboard, three things this week” to build a more wellness-friendly home or desk.
The longer your to-do list gets, the more important things get buried. The practice of writing just three things for the week on a whiteboard doesn't mean you should give up on everything. This means focusing on three things you will definitely finish or start at the end of this week.
The reason POKIT introduces this method as a space design is because the whiteboard is in a visible location. The to-do tasks in the app disappear when you close them, but the three lines on the wall attract attention every day.
Long lists always make you wonder, ‘What should I do first?’ The three lines end that worry once on a Sunday night. For the rest of the day, just follow the direction you wrote down.
The board is not a blackboard, it's the week's title.
Take 10 minutes on Sunday night to clear your whiteboard for next week and write down three things. Write ‘this week’s focus’ rather than ‘done’. Examples: ‘Submit a draft report’, ‘Make a dinner date with a friend’, ‘Exercise 2 times’. No more than three.
There is only one criterion when choosing. 'I'll be satisfied if this is all I get at the end of this week.' Leave the rest of your work in notes or apps, and the whiteboard only contains directions.
Place the whiteboard somewhere you will see it every day: in front of your desk, next to the refrigerator, or on the wall in the hallway. It doesn't have to be too big. Two A4 sheets are enough to write three lines.
Place only one marker next to the board. One black or dark color. If you use multiple colors, it becomes a to-do list again. Simplicity is key to maintaining it.
On Friday afternoon, cross out or erase the three lines you have completed. Decide whether to carry over unfinished work to next week or give up. Only one pass is allowed. If you're missing two, you put too much down to begin with.
When the whiteboard is empty, the weekend feels lighter. Because there is no ‘still to do’ left on the wall. When you write down those three things again on Sunday night, the new week starts clean.
If three lines are too easy, try writing something a little more challenging next week. As long as the three remain balanced, the board continues to function.
If you place a small clock next to the board, you can see how much time is left this week. It allows you to feel the weekly rhythm in your body.
The three lines on the whiteboard are not your to-do list, but your compass for the week. This Sunday, write down three things.
The three lines written on the wall tell you this week's priorities.
The shorter your to-do list, the faster your hands will move.
