Bedroom lighting, only warm light at night

An evening lighting routine that changes the space before going to sleep with a bedside lamp instead of a ceiling lamp. Even in the same room, light becomes a signal of rest.

lighting

This is a daily space routine that lightens everyday life. Use “Bedroom lighting, only warm light at night” to build a more wellness-friendly home or desk.

Bedroom ceiling lights are bright enough, but they are too strong a signal for the brain before going to sleep. The cornea of the eye is sensitive to light, and white light keeps you alert.

Just like turning on your desk lamp in the evening, all you need is one light to divide your bedroom into 'work mode' and 'rest mode'. Even if you don't have a smart light bulb, you can start with a small lamp with a warm color temperature.

an hour before going to sleep

Turn off the ceiling lights 60 minutes before going to bed, and turn on only the bedside lamp. I only use this light when I read a book or write a diary. The screen brightness is lowered separately.

Place the lamp below shoulder height so that it does not reach your eyes directly. When light reflects off the ceiling or wall, it spreads out smoothly.

The morning is bright again

After waking up, open the curtains first and use the ceiling light only when necessary. Turn off the lamp you used at night in the morning. Even in the same room, the order of light divides the daily rhythm.

If you share a room with a family member, make it a rule that latecomers only turn on their own lamps and turn off the ceiling lights, so that you are less likely to disturb each other's sleep.

It's not the interior, it's the sleeping environment. Tonight, turn off the overhead lights an hour before you go to bed and try turning on just one small lamp.
